Hi Everyone Jennie here with you today and oh how I wish it was summertime still here in the north and life was a bit easier! Instead I had a wonderful time creating those feelings in my art journal with this double page spread.
This was a very fluid page (which is arty speak for 'I had no idea where I was going with this'!) so there are no step by steps on my blog, but you might like to visit Live The Dream and see some close up photos of the details.
Thank you for joining me today!

Hello crafters, this is Craftyfield showing you today a second piece of inspiration on the theme Hot summer days, chosen by my teammate Jane for our August Country View challenge.
Having chosen the less travelled road for my first post, this time I had to involve the more traditional beach...
Watercolour, pastels, micro beads... a whole host of supplies were dragged in to create, I hope, an evocative beach vibe. Come and see more details on my blog here.

There is still time to play along with our Hot Summer Days challenge!
I have used my distress inks to create a summery ombre effect on this card and added the lovely flowers from one of Emma Godfrey's PaperArtsy stamp sets. There are some more details and photos on my blog today.

Hello everybody! We're delighted to welcome Sam Wade from Craft Room Delights as our guest this month. Sam won our challenge in May and today she's here with her take on this month's Hot Summer Days theme. You're going to love what she's created, so without more ado, let's hand over to her...
My inspiration this month are orchids with bright colours, stamped on vellum and die cut, with a lovely summery feel.
I really love stamping flowers and bringing them to life with shaping, if i can add a bit of sparkle somewhere i will.
More information can found on my blog, http://craftroomdelights.blogspot.co.uk.
Thank you CVC for letting me be a guest designer this month.
What a beautiful creation, Sam! Thanks so much for joining us this month as our guest.
If you'd like to see more of this lovely project, do visit Sam at Craft Room Delights for all the details.
You still have time to enter our Hot Summer Days challenge. The usual £20 voucher is on offer for the winner of the challenge, and the possibility of a Guest Design spot here at Country View Challenges, See you there!

I enjoy my holidays at home in my little garden and fortunately there are several really hot summer days here. You can find some steps at my blog, how I made this pages.
For me roses belong to summer - what do you associate with hot summer days?
We would love to see, what you come up with! There are several days left to join in.

I am scheduling this post so I hope the weather remains nice and warm in the UK for August!!!!
It's Brenda here with my second project for Jane's Hot Summer Days challenge and oh boy my journal pages are burning lol.
I have used DecoArt media paints and mediums on these pages ........
.... with texture through a stencil .......
.... and napkins for the main images.
I hope you are enjoying sunshine wherever you are in the world even if it might be a cold day in the southern hemisphere.
We are looking forward to seeing all your projects being lined up.
